Happy second full week of school. The days just fly by! Hopefully you and your family have been enjoying this amazing extension of summer...I'd happy happy to skip right to spring (ha ha).
This Thursday is our back to school bbq. The office sent home detailed information of what the evening would include so be sure to read that over. I will be in our classroom from 4-5. At 4:45 pm I'm planning on going over a few things regarding the VLE - so if you are around, be sure to pop in! Keep in mind there won't be time for us to discuss your child's progress in private - if you have anything you would like to discuss, simply send along a note in the agenda with your number and I will call you at a time that is convenient for us both.
A big thank you for your generous donations of Kleenex and paper towels — they’re very much appreciated by all of us.
Looking forward to seeing you!
LUNCHES & TECHNOLOGY SAFETY
Our classroom is filled with exciting technology—Ozobots, Dash robots, Makey Makeys, Spheros, iPads, Chromebooks, and more! To help keep all of this equipment safe, I kindly ask that you do not send carbonated drinks (such as pop or sparkling water) with your child. These cans often get jostled in backpacks and can explode when opened during snack time, which poses a risk to our devices.
I’d really appreciate it if your child could enjoy these fizzy treats at home instead. Thank you so much for your support in keeping our learning environment safe and fun!
If you have any questions or concerns, please don’t hesitate to reach out.
Our classroom is a nut-free environment to ensure our students with allergies are safe. Please be mindful of this when you are packing your child's lunch and snacks. The new cookie store and Tim Horton's snacks and hot chocolate aren't peanut free...so please ensure your child enjoys these before getting to school. Thank you...so much...for helping keep all our students safe.
