Dear Families,
We’ve had another busy and productive week in Grade 6! Here’s what’s coming up and what we’ve been working on:
- Math: Our Edwin Chapter 4 test will take place on Tuesday.
- Language: Students will have a spelling quiz on Friday.
- Podcast Projects: Students are continuing to work on their podcast projects. Please note that these can only be completed at school.
- Social Studies: We’re wrapping up our current unit and will soon begin our exciting Space unit in Science!
- School Mass: Join us for Mass on Thursday at 9:30 a.m. in the school gym. We’d love to see you there!
- Angel Tree Campaign: Our Angel Tree Campaign began this week. Thank you for your continued generosity and support—it truly makes a difference!
- Outdoor Reminders: Please remind your child to dress for the weather. The yard is very messy and wet, so boots are a necessity.
Thank you for your ongoing support and partnership in your child’s learning journey. If you have any questions, feel free to reach out.
Lunches & Technology Safety
Our classroom is full of exciting technology—Ozobots, Dash robots, Makey Makeys, Spheros, iPads, Chromebooks, and more! To help keep all of this equipment safe, I kindly ask that students do not bring carbonated drinks (such as pop or sparkling water) to school.
These beverages can get shaken up in backpacks and may burst open during snack time, which poses a risk to our devices and learning materials.
I’d really appreciate it if these fizzy treats could be enjoyed at home instead. Thank you so much for your support in keeping our learning environment safe, clean, and fun!
If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to reach out.
Our classroom is a nut-free environment to ensure our students with allergies are safe. Please be mindful of this when you are packing your child's lunch and snacks. The new cookie store and Tim Horton's snacks and hot chocolate aren't peanut free...so please ensure your child enjoys these before getting to school. Thank you...so much...for helping keep all our students safe.
