We are wrapping up our Math and Social Studies Unit, as well as our Podcast unit...so there will be some culminating tasks coming up as well...so...busy as usual!

Our classroom is a nut-free environment to ensure our students with allergies are safe. Please be mindful of this when you are packing your child's lunch and snacks.
This Weeks Learning
Numeracy: Both Grades: we are working on Operations. Have your child check Knowledgehook for practice questions tied directly to what we are learning in class. Hopefully we finish up this week! They can also connect with 99Math for fun practice of everyday math skills. We are also working on coding with blocks, creating new commands and sprites in Scratch. **We should finish up this math unit this week...students will likely have a final task early next week...info to follow in agenda's.
Language: We are finishing up our podcast "Mars Patel". It's an awesome mystery created for students by students! We are completing several comprehension activities, a study of ready comprehension strategies as well as learning about a variety of literary devices. The culminating activity will be the completion of their own podcast!
Phys Ed: We are working on Volleyball...and fitness.
S.T.E.M/Coding.: Every other Friday...ask your child to share their experiential learning opportunities! Last week we worked with the Dash robots...they loved them!
Religion/Family Life: We continue our first Religion Unit - God Calls Us To Know Him.
Social Studies/Science: We will wrap up our Social Studies unit on the Government of Canada this week...there will be a quiz coming up...information to follow in agendas. We will begin our science unit in a few weeks.
